Episode #88 - Royal Caribbean's "Iconic" News with Matt Hochberg

Last week, Royal Caribbean announced an brand new class of ships that will be coming in 2022 and 2024. What is unique about this announcement is that these new ships, the Icon Class, will be power by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and fuel cell technology. This is the first ever passenger cruise ship line to bring to the cruise industry a clean burning energy proportion system.

On top of that, they will be testing fuel cell technology on their Oasis and Quantum class ships to starting in 2017.

We have invited Matt Hochberg of Royal Caribbean Blog onto this week's show to discuss this "iconic" news and speculate the impact of this announcement on the cruise industry, refueling stations, testing procedures, possible of fuel surcharges and more.

Definitely, this is probably the biggest change and announcement that the cruise industry has seen in 2016. We will be watching this closely and keep you updated as information becomes available.

Episode #75 - Harmonizing with the Cruise Sisters!

Welcome to episode #75!

It is our diamond anniversary show! We are so glad to have back on the show the Cruise Sisters from Berlin, Germany.

They just finished a wonderful cruise on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas, the newest and largest cruise ship in the world today. Christened less than three months ago, the ship is still sailing it's inaugural Western Mediterranean route. This beautiful ship is over 225,000 gross tons, 1,188 feet long, 18 decks, 2,300 crew members, and can serve almost 5,500 guests.

Juliet and Janice share with us their favorite shows, dining, and activities on board. We discuss all about the Bionic Bar, Wonderland, Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant, ziplining, the stage show Grease, their experience with "Voom", RCCL's Internet at Sea and more. They go into detail what made this cruise extra special for them. Although they had a short cruise, they were very happy and would like the sail on her again.
